Paperwork Found With The Nianguas

If anyone has any additional paperwork they'd like to share, we'd be happy to add them!!!

We can only add what "we think we know to be true" based upon Nianguas and boxes that we have or have seen. It is important to note that "corrupt" packages (lures, paperwork, lids being changed) are almost "inevitable". Many boxes were unmarked and once the lures were taken out for display the likelihood of those being placed back into the "original" box with the "original" paperwork and the "original" lid is quite low. We are not "experts", so errors may be present. Should you see any misinformation, please contact us. We will correct it ASAP! This information pertains to Niangua boxes. Some of this information does apply to other Little Sac lures, but inconsistencies do exist between the changes in the lures/boxes and the different lure models. We have found 5 different pieces of paperwork in the Niangua boxes; therefore, we base our information on what we "know" from them. We have also seen many packages with no paperwork. Whether it came that way originally or was taken out later is anyone's guess.

The first paperwork that seems to appear is "Lanier's Collector Card". It is simply a business card. We have only seen these in the "Wooden Minnow" boxes. Although we would not be surprised if they weren't included in some of the early "Worded Wood" boxes. Also unknown is whether the cards were "included" in the box or if the original purchasers simply "put" the card in? Only 1 side of the card has printing on it. Below is an example of "Lanier's Collector Card".

Lanier's Collector Card

These cards are sometimes found in the "early" Niangua boxes.

The next piece of paperwork is a real unknown for us. We found it in 2 of our "Worded Wood" boxes that were dated 1999. We bought both lures from the same collector at the same time. We have "reservations" as to the "correctness" of them in the boxes. It is how we received them, so we will include the information. It is possible that Lanier did not have any of the "Niangua Paperwork" available at the time and simply included these. With Lanier almost anything is possible. LOL!! Again, it's an unknown that will probably remain that way. Should anyone else have this paperwork in their Niangua box or boxes, please let us know. The biggest reason for our "reservations" about this paperwork is that the "Niangua Paperwork" seems to appear in the boxes in 1998. The paperwork is "GREAT" because it announces the arrival of the Niangua and Little Osage on March 15, 1998.

Update 08/19/2008 -
We have received information from another collector indicating that he had the Gasconade Paperwork included in two of his Worded Wood Boxes, too. We are now fairly convinced that this paperwork is correct for at least some of the early Worded Wood Boxes. THANKS ED!!!
Below is an example of the "Gasconade Paperwork".

Gasconade Paperwork

This paperwork was found in 2 of our "Worded Wood" boxes.
We got these from another collector and do not know if it is correct. It only mentions the coming of the Nianguas.

The next piece of paperwork seems to have appeared with the "true" Niangua Minnow in 1998. It was used until 2002. There is a slight variation which is apparent in the picture below. The "first" Niangua Paperwork was on a "darker", heavier paper. It appears to have been issued until sometime in 1999 then the "lighter" paper was used. There is absolutely no difference in the text on these. Below is an example of the "Niangua Paperwork".

Niangua Paperwork

This paperwork was obviously designed specifically for the Niangua boxes.
The "darker", heavier paper came first and is less common.
The text on both are identical.

The next piece of paperwork to be found is the "Entire Little Sac Line Paperwork". This paperwork began to appear in 2002, same year as the first Meramecs. It "obviously" was designed to replace all other Little Sac paperwork. It includes information on all the Little Sac lures at the time. It could be "correctly" used with any of the Little Sac lures. This paperwork was used with the Nianguas until 2006. Below is an example of the "Entire Little Sac Line Paperwork".

Entire Little Sac Line Paperwork

This paperwork contains information on the entire Little Sac line of lures. It was obviously intended to become the "standard" paperwork for all Little Sac lures.

The last paperwork used with the Nianguas is the "Little Sac Card". It first appeared in 2006 and is still in use today. It is similar to the preceding "Entire Little Sac Line Paperwork" because, it can be used for any of the current Little Sac lures. The card is just stamped with the correct "Style" (lure name).
It is designed to fit flat in the new "Picture" cardboard boxes. Below is an example of the "Little Sac Card".

Little Sac Card

These cards were first used in the Niangua boxes in 2006. They are still being used today.

This is all the information we have at this time regarding paperwork. If you have additional information, we'd love to hear about it.
